Dr. Jen is an early childhood scientist and applied researcher dedicated to improving childhoods and equipping the adults who shape them. She uses systematic observation, evidence-based methods, and critical analysis to study behavior, gather and interpret data, and apply research-based strategies in real-world settings. Through ongoing assessment, targeted intervention, and evaluation, she helps educators and families implement effective practices that create measurable, lasting change.

Her career began as a special education teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico, working with children from prekindergarten through young adulthood—including those with autism, intellectual disabilities, behavior disorders, and other developmental delays. These experiences deepened her commitment to prevention, early intervention, and translating research into practical solutions that support children and families across home, school, and community settings.

Dr. Jen earned her Ph.D. in Special Education with a focus on Early Childhood Studies from the University of Florida, where she was awarded the Preparing Leaders in Early Childhood Studies and Implementation Science (PLECSIS) leadership grant. This training expanded her expertise in child development, research methods, and scaling effective practices.

As founder of The Early Childhood Group, LLC, Dr. Jen bridges research and practice to provide accessible, evidence-based support for families, educators, and communities—ensuring every child, and every adult who cares for them, has the tools, knowledge, and support to thrive.
